3 Ways PLR is Perfect for Podcasting

Podcasters and Internet radio show hosts can use private label rights content in a variety of ways to help boost their listenership. PLR articles aren’t just for information sites and here are a few ways podcasters can put them to use on their own site.

  1. Use the articles to post to a blog or website in between shows to keep your show fresh in your listener’s mind.
  2. Use PLR to brainstorm future show topics.
  3. Make recordings of the articles and post them as bonus or mini-podcasts.

No matter how you choose to use your PLR articles to boost your podcast, it’s extremely important that you realize you need to rework the original content to make it your own. Add your own thoughts, rewrite the content to make it fit your audience, add your own personal research and data, etc.

Why Your Affiliates Should Be Using PLR to Promote You

If you run an affiliate program, you know how time consuming it can be to keep your affiliate center loaded with tools and resources to help your affiliates promote your product or services. It can be a full time job in it’s own and quite frankly as a business owner you have other things you need to expend your energy on, on top of your affiliate program.

One way to save yourself some time and keep your affiliates happy and with a constant source of promotional resources is to with the use of PLR articles. There are actually a couple of ways to go about this, so choose the one (or both) that fits your particular program needs the best.

The first way to use PLR in your affiliate program is to use your own PLR articles and rewrite them so they can be used by your affiliates to promote your product or service. This will save you tons of time writing completely original content for them to use. It will also save you money, because PLR articles tend to be much less expensive than hiring a ghostwriter.

The second way, which will benefit you and your affiliates more in the long run, but may not be something your affiliate’s are willing to do on a consistent basis (which is why you should actually implement both of these techniques) is to teach your affiliates how to use their own PLR content to promote you.

You can set up an eCourse or training manual that explains how PLR works and why it’s beneficial to them to use it in your program. Don’t be surprised when if you get a few emails from affiliates thanking you for turning them onto private label rights articles, either.

PLR Articles: How to Choose a Good Service

PLR Articles: How to Choose a Good Service
by Nicole Dean

Private Label Rights (PLR) articles are hot right now. The
only problem is that many people have tried them and been very
disappointed. I can’t say I blame them. I’ve been disappointed, too.

Oftentimes, the PLR services you may have tried are lacking in
several areas. So, what makes a good PLR service and how can you make
sure that you don’t waste you money on a bad one?

Here are some questions to ask yourself before investing any money into a PLR package or membership.

1. What topics are you getting?

I mean, seriously, if you are promised 100 articles each month, but
you end up receiving a selection on Laser Hair Removal and Divorce,
when all your websites are about cooking… You just wasted money.

2. What quality are you getting?

Say you’re lucky enough to get a series of articles on your topic.
Take a minute to look at them. Are they pure fluff? I’ve paid for
articles that had no original ideas, or worse, were written so poorly
that there’s no possible way I’d put them on my website. Make sure your
PLR package contains quality articles. Otherwise, you just wasted
money.

3. How many other people are getting the exact same articles?

If 1000 other people signed up to get the same articles, are you
really receiving any value? Perhaps if you don’t mind reworking the
articles. However, if you’d like more unique articles, then you may
consider a more exclusive PLR service.

4. Does the PLR service give you any extras?

Are they offering training on ways to use their PLR articles? Do
they provide you with ways to monetize the articles you’ve purchased?
Some PLR sites will include recommended affiliate programs and training
on how to use their articles to get the most benefits from their
service.

Really assess the value you’re receiving when investing in any PLR
package or service so that you don’t end up wasting your money. I don’t
want you to make the same mistakes I did.

Tips to Organize All That PLR Content

If you’ve been working online for any amount of time, you’ve probably purchased private label rights content at some point or another. PLR is a great tool that helps website owners add quality content to their websites without having to hire a ghostwriter to write it all for them or spend countless hours writing all of their content from scratch.

If you’ve purchased your fair share of PLR and find that it’s taking up tons of space on your computer’s hard drive and you’re having a hard time determining what content you’ve used and where and which articles you still have available for use, you’ll be happy to know, you’re not alone. It’s not uncommon to becoming disorganized with your PLR, until now that is.

Here’s one way you can organize your PLR content so that you know what’s been used and what is still waiting to find it’s way to the spotlight of your website or newsletter.

First, organize all your PLR by either niche or website. If you own more than one website it might be best to use the later organization method. Move all the articles that you want to use on that website into the site’s folder. Within your website folder create two folders. The first labeled “Rewritten – Ready for Posting to site” and the second, “Used.”

By creating two separate folders you can move the articles to the “Rewritten” folder once you’ve reworked them and they are ready to be added to your blog or website. After you have added them to your site, simply cut and paste the article to the “Used” folder.

And don’t forget there are tons of ways to use the same article over and over. If you’re looking for PLR eCourses that you can use to teach others about the many uses of PLR, have a look at this

No need to hire a ghostwriter to write everything for them and they can say goodbye to spending countless hours writing their own sales letters, articles, blog posts, newsletters and more.

PLR vs. Free Reprint Articles: Which is Best?

PLR vs. Free Reprint Articles: Which is Best?
by Nicole Dean

Content is always in high demand. Right now the focus seems to be on Private Label Rights (or PLR) articles. PLR articles are pre-written and sold in packages to online businesses looking for content. The big selling points of PLR articles are that you may edit the articles and that there is no author bio required (so they don’t have any outbound links).

Compare PLR articles to free reprint articles. Free reprint articles from places like ezinearticles.com or freeaffiliatearticles.com are written by people who have something they’d like to share. (Or, they are sometimes written by people just publishing junk, in the hopes that they’ll get some incoming links. But, good article directories will delete those, so we’ll focus on the good ones here.)

So, which is better? Honestly, each has its place. Sometimes you’ll find an excellent free reprint article that you’ll want to share with your readers and you won’t mind a bit having an outbound link, especially if there is an affiliate program associated with it. The free reprint article added value to your readers, and you didn’t have to write the article. That’s what free reprint articles are all about.

Other times you’ll already have an idea in mind for a topic and you’ll just want a boost getting that section of your website done. If you run across a high quality PLR package on that niche, you’re set to go.

So, how do you know which PLR service or membership to choose? Here are some guidelines to follow:

1. Some PLR sites offer a monthly membership where you receive a grab-bag of articles – on any topic. If you already know what you need, this may be a waste of money. Other PLR sites will list topics and you can buy the articles in a shopping cart. That ensures you receive the articles you need when you need them.

2. Are the articles written by professional writers with experience? Or are they outsourced to the cheapest overseas help they can find – no matter the quality? If the articles are going to be a reflection of your business, you’ll want to ensure that the articles are well-written.

3. Who’s running this thing? Is the PLR site run by someone who knows about content or someone who thinks they can ride the content wave and make a quick buck? Make sure you’re hitching your wagon to someone who knows what they’re doing.

Those are just a few tips to keep you from wasting money on a PLR site that you can’t use. Continue to use free reprint articles, but look into PLR articles as well. They can both benefit your website and your business.

Nicole Dean invites you to check out EasyPLR.com – where you’ll find high-quality PLR articles on niches sold in very limited quantities.

I, personally, recommend this site for all your PLR article needs.

4 Common Misconceptions about PLR Content

4 Common Misconceptions about PLR Content

By Nicole Dean

Recently, in an interview, I was asked this question:
“Can you explode any misconceptions that stop people from using PLR content?”

Here is my answer:

There are four main myths that I run into regularly.

  1. The biggest misconception that people have is that all PLR is crap.
  2. The second biggest misconception is that ghostwriters are not good writers. We can even take that a step further and add that people assume they are stupid, taken advantage of, and/or they don’t speak English as their native language.
  3. The third misconception is that using PLR takes away from your expert status.
  4. The fourth misconception is that PLR and ghostwriting are somehow dishonest.

Let’s run through those one by one.

Myth #1: All PLR is Crap.

If you go back to about 2003, then I’d say that you are absolutely correct. Nearly all PLR at that time was junk. There may have been a few exceptions, but I wouldn’t touch most of that PLR content with a 10-foot pole.

We’ve made great strides in the last few years to raise the standards for what is acceptable and what is not in the PLR world. I’d like to think that I was one of the leaders in that movement.

Myth #2: Ghostwriters are Stupid.

I’ve got to tell you that I’ve worked with some ghostwriters who are brilliant in many ways. Oftentimes, they’re fabulous communicators, smart marketers, and hard working entrepreneurs. And, yes, they’re qualified to write quality information on many topics on the internet.

For instance, for a long time, I had a nurse writing my health PLR articles. I’ve also got a writer who graduated from Stanford University, who writes for several popular print magazines, and is a published author. Yes, she has her own book. And, another who had a career as a Political Speech Writer (before having children). That’s just three of my writers. They’re all amazing people, each with a variety of skills and life experience.

To assume they aren’t capable of writing quality content would be just silly.

I don’t just go to eLance.com and take the lowest bidder. To think that’s how all PLR sites work would certainly be a misconception.

Myth #3: You’re Not a “Real” Expert if you Use PLR.

The other misconception is that using PLR articles takes away your own value as the expert. That you are somehow cheating, plagiarizing, or that you’re a phony if you use PLR.

If ONLY you could see my customer list. It reads like the “Who’s who of Successful Online Business Owners”.

Business is all about cutting costs while increasing the bottom line. What better example is there than PLR content?

If you use PLR articles as drafts, they are delivered to you, ready for you, as the expert, to add your unique thoughts to them.

If you look at PLR like that – you can still keep your personality in your brand – and your sanity at the same time.

Myth #4: Using Ghostwriters or PLR is Cheating.

Most biographies in the bookstores are written by ghostwriters.

Most of the famous orations from our history were written by someone other than the public figure who gave the speech.

It’s not cheating to get help. It’s smart business.

How To Profit With Private Label Rights (PLR)

How To Profit With Private Label Rights (PLR)

Private label rights  (PLR) allow you to alter, modify, enhance and rearrange the contents of the product to suit your own needs and wishes.  What exactly does this mean?

With private label rights, you could divide the chapters of, say, an eBook, and sell them as a series of articles.  The reverse is also true.  If you purchased a set of articles with accompanying private label rights, you could compile them into an eBook or special report.

Better yet, you could add any information without having to ask the permission from the original author.  If you think that one part needs more details, just add more.

However the best part of information products with private label rights is that, in most cases, you can put your name as the author, and publish it, without having to pay royalties to the original author.

Let’s take a look at a few more benefits of PLR.

  • Private label rights allow you to come up with a variety of new products from the original source.  Since you can change the contents to suit your needs, you have the freedom to repackage them as new and different offers for different markets.
  • Private label rights also allow you to improve the work if you wish.  If you are tired of buying products for resale that don't meet your standards of quality, and can't be changed, then PLR is what you are seeking.  You have the freedom to change and improve on what is written as you wish.
  • Private label rights are perfect for branding yourself and your business.  You need to get the word out about your online venture.  Purchasing a number of information products with private label rights and editing them and calling them your own will impress the online world that you are an expert in your chosen field. They would trust you more easily when the need arises to buy your services or products.

When you encounter well written PLR content in your niche,  it is definitely worth your time to buy it.

How To Use PLR Content For Profit

Five ways to use PLR Content For Profit:

  1. Post PLR articles to your blog or website
  2. Utilize PLR articles for your newsletter (some PLR is written specifically for autoresponder messages)
  3. Sell an eBook that you have compiled from PLR articles on the same subject
  4. Combine several PLR articles to make a report to give away to grow your list
  5. Use PLR articles as a “script” for a Podcast or Video

What is PLR?

PLR stands for Private label rights. Yeah I know that really cleared it up! OK – so PLR or Private Label Rights essentially lets you (the buyer) have the right to use someone else’s content and do whatever you want with it. This means that you can put you own name on it and claim it as your own without violating any copyrights. Here are the most common types of Private Label Rights.

Unrestricted Private Label Rights: These rights allow you do whatever you want. You can put your name on them, rewrite, repackage, sell, or give them away. Private Label Rights: This is similar to unrestricted in that you can rewrite and put your name on it. These rights usually have some limitations such as you can’t give away for free or sell the Private Label Rights to others

Resell Rights: This is permission from the owner of a product (e.g. an ebook, a set of article, or software) to allow you to sell it for your own profit.

Master Resell Rights: Master Resell Rights carries resell rights one additional level and allows you to sell the resell rights to the product as well as selling the actual product. Read the license that comes with the product carefully and understand your rights. It is important to know what rights you have bought, so you use your PLR correctly.
